The small details
Quadrivia privacy policy
Effective November 3, 2026. This policy describes the Quadrivia iPhone and iPad app and these support pages. Questions: support@quadrivia.co.
A game without an app account
Quadrivia has no app registration, advertising, third-party analytics SDK, tracking system, or developer-operated game server. The app does not request your contacts, location, advertising identifier, microphone, or camera.
There is no automatic upload of saved games, question reports, or gameplay to the developer.
What stays on your device
Quadrivia stores solo progress, saved multiplayer games, chosen display names and scholars, scores, and the question bank needed to continue those games. The original host’s save contains the authoritative match; other players retain the state their seats are allowed to receive.
Local installation and seat identifiers help reconnect original players. Room keys, seat credentials, and a host’s SharePlay signing key are stored in the device’s Keychain. The developer does not automatically receive these files, identifiers, or credentials.
The app reads local save dates to help identify and sort games. These file timestamps stay on the device.
What your group shares
Nearby and SharePlay exchange the information needed for your requested game: chosen names and scholars, admission and connection information, public questions and scores, game actions, and role-appropriate answers. Other participants may keep your chosen name and public game history in their local saves.
The assigned judge receives the supplied answer when judging; the result can become public after grading. Access controls do not prevent a participant from taking a screenshot or otherwise sharing information they can see.
Pairing invitations contain connection credentials. Share them privately with your intended group.
Apple services
Nearby uses local networking. Remote play uses Apple’s SharePlay infrastructure, with FaceTime providing voice and video outside Quadrivia. System sharing services carry an invitation when you choose to share it. Apple services have their own data practices: see Apple’s privacy policy.
Your choices and retention
You choose your display name, scholar, play mode, and whom you invite. You can play Solo without joining a group.
Manage saved games in Settings & Privacy → Saved games & local history. Deleting a match removes that device’s match files and match-specific credentials. Clearing finished history keeps unfinished games. Deleting the original host’s unfinished save prevents resumption.
Deleting your copy does not delete other players’ copies and does not reset the app’s local installation identifier. Quadrivia provides no cross-device erasure service or cloud recovery of a lost host save.
